This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Supervise the Epidemiology team consisting of Research Scientists and Research Associates, along with their assigned projects and commercial endeavors.
• Guide the Epidemiology team to ensure that projects maintain scientific integrity, meet client requirements, and are completed within specified timelines and budgets.
• Formulate and execute business strategies and cutting-edge processes to enhance commercial activities.
• Support teams in resolving issues, mediating conflicts, and achieving consensus among stakeholders.
• Offer epidemiologic expertise and training to ensure the production of high-quality scientific outputs.
• Mentor and coach team members; set clear expectations regarding responsibilities, objectives, and conduct.
• Oversee staff development through recruitment, performance assessments, talent growth, and establishing clear expectations and accountability.
• Maintain strong collaborative relationships with colleagues in Go to Market, Biostatistics, Non-Interventional Studies, Scientific Management, and Business Operations.
• Represent the Epidemiology Department in internal leadership meetings as well as at external professional, scientific gatherings and forums.
• Directly engage with senior pharmaceutical executives in client management and consulting roles.
• An advanced degree (PhD, MD, MPH, or PharmD) in a scientific field.
• A clinical background complemented by advanced quantitative training evidenced by an MPH or MS in a relevant area.
• A minimum of 12 years of experience in observational studies research.
• At least 5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or consulting environment.
• Extensive experience in quantitative methods related to health services research, with a focus on the design of non-interventional studies and data analysis using both retrospective and prospective observational data.
• Strong grasp of relevant methodologies and statistical techniques.
• Profound understanding of healthcare research principles and practical research execution.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven success in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
