Scientific Director – Commercial

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Accountable for ensuring that assigned medical communications are precise, clinically relevant, and reflect the latest advancements in the medical sector.

• Collaborates with key opinion leaders in relevant therapeutic areas and offers expert resources and information.

• Keeps up-to-date with developments and trends in the pharmaceutical industry concerning relevant medications.

• Partners with pharmaceutical industry clients to achieve the goals and objectives of communication programs, guaranteeing the delivery of the highest quality product.

• Stays informed about medical advancements and performs literature searches to provide accurate medical information for designated projects.

• Synthesizes clinical trial data and conveys its relevance to the appropriate physician and consumer audiences as per client specifications for assigned projects.

• Participates in and assists in designing clinical trial investigator meetings and advisory boards.

• Aids in writing medical manuscripts, white papers, monographs, slide kits, abstracts, and posters under the guidance of senior scientific personnel.

• Edits medical documents, verifies scientific accuracy, and ensures quality control for writers and freelancers.

• Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacology, or medicine.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.

• Capability to excel in a fast-paced environment, adhere to deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Robust financial, administrative, and organizational skills, including the ability to multitask effectively.

• Excellent client communication skills – capable of conversing and collaborating with clients and faculty members.

• Strong attention to detail, capacity to prioritize tasks, and ability to work both collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and independently.

• Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Internet searches and Microsoft Windows software such as Word, Excel (able to manage complex spreadsheets), and PowerPoint.

• Willingness to travel as necessary, including weekends.
