Scientific Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee and evaluate quantitative epidemiological, clinical, and/or behavioral data, delivering results in the requested format.

• Perform data analysis and interpretation utilizing SAS, R, and SPSS.

• Input definitions for survey questionnaire variables, including variable names, range labels, default values, and question prompts.

• Produce data retrievals and summary outputs.

• Assist in the dissemination and reporting of data to stakeholders.

• Develop SAS programs to create surveillance reports.

• Conduct routine analysis and interpretation of data, including data entry, coding, and transcription.

• Create presentation graphics, including MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in producing SAS-based reports using various methods (e.g., PROC REPORT, PROC TABULATE) and exporting these reports to formats such as Microsoft Excel, PDF, and HTML.

• Proficient in data manipulation and cleaning using a range of SAS functions, formats/informats, macros, and procedures.

• Proven capability to work with multiple data sources to monitor and evaluate data quality, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Statistics, or a related discipline.
