Science Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accountable for executing the established curriculum within Ethos online learning platforms.

• Develop supplementary assessments and learning activities as required.

• Assist students in achieving success on the AP Exams when applicable.

• Conduct regular synchronous sessions, with a minimum of ten sessions per semester for each section.

• Facilitate and evaluate all assignments promptly, within 24-72 hours.

• Submit final course grades following discussions with lead faculty and/or the program director by the Ethos deadline.

• Maintain consistent communication with students, reaching out at least three times per week.

• Regularly inform students and their families about classroom activities and individual student progress.

• Collaborate with the GAC teacher of the same course on a weekly basis.

• Oversee student behavior to guarantee full engagement from every student.

• Recognize individual student needs and work with team members to effectively meet those needs.

• Actively engage in mandatory job-embedded professional development courses on a regular basis.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject area is mandatory; a Master’s degree is preferred.

• A valid teaching certificate in Secondary Education is essential.

• Understanding of student cognitive development and diverse learning styles is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant teaching experience is necessary, with preferred experience in AP subjects.

• Familiarity with reading AP Exams as either a Reader or Tablet Leader for College Board is preferred.

• Prior experience in online teaching is highly desirable.
