
Science Advisor, Project Manager – Custom Market Research

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methodology market research projects from initiation to final delivery.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Plan and execute projects, create timelines, coordinate resources, and manage potential risks.
• Collaborate with sales and business development teams to evaluate feasibility and suggest appropriate research methodologies.
• Convert client business inquiries into research designs and analytical frameworks.
• Coordinate with stakeholders involved in programming, fielding, and panel operations.
• Track project progress and address issues related to budget, timeline, quality, and client satisfaction.
• Design and execute quantitative studies, surveys, trackers, segmentation analyses, concept tests, customer experience evaluations, market assessments, and customized research.
• Write and review questionnaires; test programmed surveys and conduct quality assurance checks.
• Assess fieldwork performance, incidence rates, quotas, and respondent quality.
• Analyze datasets utilizing descriptive and inferential statistical methods.
• Interpret crosstabs, significance tests, segmentation analyses, and other relevant outputs.
• Create data visualizations and convert findings into actionable business insights.
• Develop qualitative methodologies, including screeners, discussion guides, ethnographic protocols, and observational frameworks.
• Facilitate interviews, focus groups, cognitive interviews, and various qualitative research activities.
• Conduct ethnographic and observational research with healthcare and scientific stakeholders.
• Manage qualitative recruitment, scheduling, recordings, transcription, and logistical aspects of fieldwork.
• Perform thematic analysis, coding, text analytics, content analysis, and synthesis.
• Design and oversee mixed-methodology studies and integrate findings across various datasets.
• Develop strategic recommendations, frameworks, personas, customer journeys, segmentation models, and decision-support tools.
• Create reports, slide presentations, executive summaries, client presentations, and visually engaging research deliverables.
• Present findings to internal stakeholders, external clients, and executive audiences.
• Mentor and nurture junior researchers.
• Proficiency in qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research methodologies.
• Strong project management capabilities, handling multiple complex studies concurrently.
• Advanced skills in survey design and questionnaire development.
• Experience in conducting and moderating qualitative interviews and discussion-based research.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Experience in synthesizing various data sources into actionable insights.
• Expertise in data visualization and storytelling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong client-facing and presentation skills.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and data visualization tools.
• Exceptional attention to detail and dedication to quality.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Capability to mentor and develop junior researchers.
• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, social sciences, market research, public health, healthcare, business, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in managing custom market research studies.
• Proven experience in leading qualitative and quantitative market research projects from start to finish.
• Background in survey design and questionnaire development.
• Experience in survey programming review and testing.
• Proficiency in quantitative data analysis.
• Background in data visualization and reporting.
• Experience in presenting research findings and strategic recommendations to clients and executive audiences.
• Strong client management and stakeholder engagement experience.
• Advanced degree in life sciences is preferred.
• Previous experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries is preferred.
• Experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, clinical diagnostics, medical devices, healthcare services, or diagnostic imaging is preferred.
• Familiarity with survey programming platforms and qualitative analysis software is preferred.
• Experience with advanced analytics, segmentation, text analytics, or multivariate analysis is preferred.
• Experience in ethnographic observation is preferred.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within the country.
• Fully remote work arrangement.
