School Finance Specialist – Charters and Independent Schools

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as an outsourced accountant and financial consultant for a portfolio of schools.

• Manage all daily full-cycle accounting and compliance functions for the schools.

• Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual book closures and generate monthly financial reports.

• Lead the project management for the schools’ annual fiscal audit.

• Evaluate, model, and address a variety of business challenges.

• Foster growth and development among other members of the EdOps team.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-8 years of relevant work or post-secondary educational experience.

• Direct work experience and/or a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

• Proficiency in Excel, including formulas such as vlookups and sumifs.

• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Intacct, or Blackbaud.

• Strong skills in quantitative analysis, strategic thinking, and problem-solving.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients.
