This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Act as the executive leader of the school, overseeing the development and maintenance of a positive educational program aimed at enhancing student success.
• Manage the school budget, including forecasting and workforce planning; establish budgets, develop organizational structures, and allocate resources to meet organizational and functional objectives.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with board (district) clients, ensure adherence to contract stipulations, and offer guidance on policies, programs, and innovative approaches.
• Make informed business decisions proactively, utilizing knowledge of the education sector, customer demographics, political and regulatory landscapes, and technology.
• Support and empower school academic leaders in managing staff related to teaching and academic performance.
• Provide overall leadership and mentorship to instructional Academic Administrators and teaching staff by overseeing data meeting processes and facilitating individual and team meetings.
• Assess staffing requirements and make FTE adjustments in accordance with state laws and regulations, enrollment patterns, and potential new clients.
• Create and manage requisitions, supervise the recruitment of all teachers, conduct digital interviews, and determine placements for new hires.
• Research and apply non-K12 curriculum resources as necessary to comply with state standards.
• Clearly communicate the school’s mission and vision to ensure that stakeholders share a common understanding and can collaborate effectively.
• Engage with teachers, students, and parents regarding educational and behavioral matters.
• Ensure that the school addresses the needs of students while adhering to local, state, and federal regulations, including those related to special education.
• Develop and oversee the execution of the school’s School Improvement Plan.
• Foster a collaborative work environment that promotes communication, innovation, and the enhancement of instructional practices.
• Monitor departmental adherence to accountability standards.
• Fulfill professional responsibilities through effective work habits and respect for colleagues.
• Carry out other assigned tasks as necessary.
• Master’s Degree AND three or more years of experience in a Principal or School Director role.
• Capability to work collaboratively with others to set goals, objectives, and action plans.
• Strong understanding of instructional and educational leadership strategies, online instructional design theories, and learning style models.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage complex programs and processes.
• Willingness to travel 15% of the time.
• Ability to pass the required background check.
• Proven experience in supervising, training, and developing teachers.
• Familiarity with technical systems utilized within the organization.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Florida’s accountability frameworks and systems.
• Experience in a Virtual School environment.
