• Assist students and their families or learning coaches in overcoming nonacademic challenges to learning.
• Implement programs aimed at addressing interpersonal adjustment issues for students and families.
• Collaborate with school teams to identify and connect families with school and community resources.
• Support teachers in recognizing students who are considered “at risk” or “in crisis.”
• Serve as the primary point of contact for these students and families, maintaining regular communication.
• Report and refer critical incidents that may threaten student well-being.
• Provide guidance to students and families regarding academics, career planning, and graduation requirements.
• Assist students and parents in the process of selecting secondary school courses.
• Facilitate the administration of all high school assessments, including exit exams, PSAT, SAT, ACT, and AP exams.
• Help students research and comprehend post-secondary career and educational options.
• Collaborate with administrative assistants to obtain school records from students' previous institutions.
• Support professional development initiatives for teachers and school staff members.
• Valid School Counselor licensure in Ohio.
• Master’s degree.
• Proficient technology skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Customer-focused mindset.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• High degree of adaptability.
• Team-oriented with proven leadership capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for marketing and state testing events, which may include overnight stays.
