This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Provide proactive guidance curriculum to both individuals and groups.
• Address the needs of individuals and groups through responsive counseling and programming.
• Evaluate transfer student transcripts and communicate appropriate course placements.
• Maintain and assess transcripts for current students and clarify credit award processes.
• Develop and manage student graduation plans.
• Offer career readiness curriculum and assist in the formulation of career plans.
• Implement Social-Emotional Learning curriculum.
• Develop and oversee Student 504 plans.
• Analyze student data to provide recommendations for suitable academic programs and interventions.
• Travel as needed to support testing efforts and participate in school events throughout the state.
• Perform other assigned duties.
• Bilingual candidates are strongly preferred.
• Must possess a valid State Counselor license.
• Bachelor’s degree plus one (1) year of relevant experience in counseling and/or advisement, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Familiarity with the ASCA model is required.
• Experience in K-12 online learning environments is essential.
• Knowledge of Local, State, and Federal laws, including mandated reporting, is necessary.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications.
• Capable of managing confidential information responsibly and exercising sound judgment while preserving confidentiality.
• Skilled in handling challenging or emotional situations and making evidence-based decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capable of performing well under pressure, effectively prioritizing and executing tasks to consistently meet deadlines.
• Customer service oriented.
• Able to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
• Must successfully pass federal and state criminal background checks.
