This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Prepares and delivers online instruction focused on competencies by providing both theoretical knowledge and practical education.
• Instructs and facilitates an engaging learning experience centered around the core competencies outlined in the curriculum.
• Ensures that learning objectives are achieved through methods applicable to the e-learning environment.
• Encourages class discussions and nurtures an online learning culture that emphasizes mutual respect, academic accountability, lifelong learning, diversity, ethics, and both personal and professional growth.
• Conducts continuous assessments of student performance.
• Offers comprehensive, constructive feedback to enhance the numerical scores assigned for assignments and assessments.
• Provides responses to student inquiries and concerns within a 24-hour timeframe.
• Exhibits strong written communication abilities (including clarity, spelling, and grammar) and maintains a professional tone in all communications with students in the e-learning setting.
• Upholds CACREP standards and policies while adhering to the core faculty requirements of the counselor education program.
• Doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision, preferably from a CACREP-accredited program, or a related doctoral degree.
• Must have served as a full-time faculty member in a counselor education program prior to July 1, 2013.
• Must hold an independent license or certification as a professional counselor or school counselor.
• Maintain active membership in a recognized professional counseling association (preferably the American Counseling Association (ACA) or the American School Counseling Association (ASCA)).
• Demonstrate evidence of advocacy/professional service, research, and scholarly contributions in the field of counseling.
• Willingness to work in an accelerated learning format and engage daily with students in an e-learning environment.
• Serve as a role model for the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and the Mission of Grand Canyon University.
