SCADA Systems Engineer 1

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create engineering studies, plans, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, and performance assessments related to SCADA systems.

• Oversee, assist, and sustain daily operations of the SCADA systems.

• Proactively recognize SCADA system challenges and resolve them.

• Document and communicate SCADA system challenges.

• Conduct regular maintenance of SCADA systems.

• Identify opportunities for enhancement in SCADA systems and business processes.

• Collaborate with various stakeholders including the OCC, Asset Management, and O&M.

• Provide on-call support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• At least two years of relevant experience in an engineering-related field.

• Fundamental understanding of electric grid energy management systems.

• Knowledge and practical application of principles in the field of SCADA engineering.

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Capability to perform efficiently in high-pressure environments.

• Proficient in using personal computers and automated tools.

• Preferences: Engineering experience specifically in industrial power systems; familiarity with DAQ, RTU, IED, PLC technologies; experience with DNP 3; working knowledge of energy management systems, data historian systems, Modbus, Ethernet, fiber transport, and microwave/wireless system technologies.
