This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Prepare comprehensive loan write-ups and conduct annual reviews.
• Monitor credit file information for loans of medium to complex difficulty.
• Analyze and spread both business and personal financial statements along with tax returns.
• Retrieve credit bureau reports and produce credit references.
• Create financial projections and execute sensitivity analysis.
• Document findings and exceptions for Loan Officers and Loan Committees.
• Assess borrowers’ financial status, repayment ability, collateral coverage, overall credit risk, loan structure, and compliance with documentation.
• Assign preliminary risk ratings as necessary.
• Conduct ongoing credit analyses and review procedures.
• Oversee past due/non-accrual loans, collections, and borrowing-base compliance.
• Verify pledged assets as requested by Loan Officers.
• Stay informed about legal and regulatory compliance matters.
• Interpret the SBA Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
• Independently complete underwriting tasks with minimal or no errors.
• Make informed credit decisions with limited supervision.
• Fulfill required training obligations.
• Execute loss prevention and security responsibilities as necessary.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
• Occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 10 lbs.
• Proficient in English literacy.
• Ability to remain seated for extended periods while performing necessary physical activities.
• Required to have close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance from an accredited four-year institution.
• Typically, five or more years of relevant experience and/or training.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with financial spreadsheet software, particularly Moody’s spreadsheet software.
• Strong capabilities in problem-solving, mathematics, and analytical thinking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
• Detail-oriented and adaptable.
• Working knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance matters.
• Comprehensive understanding and interpretation of the SBA SOP.
• Capability to independently complete underwriting tasks with minimal or no errors.
• Ability to make sound credit decisions.
