This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer.
• Source, structure, and finalize SBA 7(a) loans of up to $350,000 for small business proprietors.
• Develop and implement a disciplined sales strategy to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual production targets.
• Build and oversee a strong pipeline through direct prospecting, referral partners, and centers of influence.
• Guide borrowers through the financing journey from the initial consultation through to closing.
• Maintain high conversion ratios and provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Cultivate and enhance relationships with Centers of Influence, such as CPAs, attorneys, business brokers, financial advisors, commercial real estate professionals, and industry consultants.
• Establish strategic partnerships to generate qualified SBA lending opportunities.
• Create joint business development strategies with key referral partners.
• Represent the organization at networking events, trade associations, industry conferences, and community organizations.
• Act as a reliable financing resource for both referral partners and clients.
• Develop lending opportunities in sectors including healthcare, food & beverage, trade, and manufacturing.
• Comprehend industry-specific financing requirements, growth prospects, and acquisition strategies.
• Build long-lasting relationships with business owners to encourage repeat business and referrals.
• Identify market trends and formulate targeted outreach strategies.
• Conduct preliminary financial analyses, including cash flow assessments, debt service coverage evaluations, and repayment capacity analyses.
• Structure transactions in line with SBA guidelines and internal credit policies.
• Collaborate with underwriting and credit teams to ensure efficient approvals.
• Present well-organized loan requests with clear analysis and mitigating factors.
• Maintain high credit quality while achieving growth objectives.
• Monitor KPIs such as loan origination volume, referral partner production, COI network growth, pipeline metrics, revenue generation, portfolio quality, retention, satisfaction, and repeat business.
• Over 5 years of experience in SBA lending, commercial banking, or small business lending.
• Proven track record in originating SBA 7(a) loans and consistently surpassing production targets.
• Established network of Centers of Influence (COIs) generating referral opportunities.
• Strong relationships and experience across the healthcare, food & beverage, trade, and manufacturing sectors.
• Comprehensive understanding of SBA lending programs, credit analysis, and loan structuring.
• Demonstrated ability to cultivate new business through relationship management and consultative selling.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and networking abilities.
• Self-driven professional with outstanding pipeline management and organizational skills.
• Experience in a fast-paced, production-driven lending environment.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.
• Existing relationships with equipment vendors, brokers, or referral partners.
• Experience with SBA or other government-backed lending programs.
• Familiarity with CDFIs or mission-driven financial institutions.
• Experience structuring equipment leasing or vendor finance programs.
• Existing portfolio of business with an active COI referral flow.
• Experience working within PLP (Preferred Lender Program) environments.
• Proven success in scaling new geographic markets or verticals.
• Experience originating loans under $500K with high velocity / small-dollar SBA.
• Proven capability to self-source over 70% of production.
• Experience collaborating with credit and operations in high-throughput settings.
• Background in digital or fintech-enabled lending platforms.
