This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee, supervise, and manage LEO/MEO communication constellation satellites.
• Engage in 24/7 mission operations, which include telemetry analysis, command implementation, and anomaly resolution.
• Focus areas include satellite health assessment, orbit management, collision avoidance (conjunction analysis), ground station coordination, the development of flight procedures, and automation through scripting.
• Shift work in the Satellite Operations Control Center (SOCC) is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in LEO/MEO mission planning, on-orbit testing, and operations.
• Proficient in space systems engineering, including orbit mechanics, space environment, and RF telecommunications.
• Knowledge in both ground segment and space segment operations.
• Experience with LEOP (Launch & Early Orbit Phase).
• Familiarity with collision avoidance, conjunction analysis, and compliance with ITU-FCC-ESA standards.
• Knowledge of Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) with collaboration with the GNC team.
• Experience with Confluence and JIRA.
• Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of French is an asset (especially in Montreal).
