This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Individual and Group Instruction: Facilitate remote SAT sessions across all sections of the digital SAT β Reading and Writing, Math (Module 1), and Math (Module 2) β aimed at achieving measurable progress each week.
β’ Diagnostic-Driven Planning: Conduct a comprehensive diagnostic test for each new student and create a week-by-week preparation strategy tied to a target score and test date.
β’ Integrated Content and Strategy Instruction: Provide instruction in content mastery and test strategies concurrently during each session, covering algebra, advanced mathematics, evidence-based reading, grammar conventions, pacing, elimination logic, and College Board question patterns.
β’ Targeted Homework and Review: Assign and evaluate focused homework between sessions, including section drills, problem sets, and timed full-length practice tests, while adjusting the plan according to performance.
β’ Parent Reporting: Maintain regular communication with parents that includes section-level data, score progression updates, focus areas, and suggested next steps.
β’ Test-Week Strategy: Manage final-week preparations, including pacing strategies, anxiety management techniques, and the test-day routine.
β’ Proven Expertise: A well-defined tutoring approach developed through extensive experience with the SAT, capable of guiding specific student arcs and explaining the rationale behind preparation decisions.
β’ Demonstrated Score Lift: A confirmed track record of significant, repeatable score improvements β the kind that greatly enhances a student's college options. Candidates should be ready to discuss documented before-and-after results in detail.
β’ Instruction-Led Methodology: Score improvement driven by direct teaching and real-time diagnostics rather than self-guided workbook completion. Homework serves to reinforce instruction; it does not replace it.
β’ Deep Command of the Digital SAT: Proficient understanding of the current digital SAT, including the Bluebook environment, adaptive module mechanics, scoring algorithms, and common College Board question patterns. Commitment to staying updated as the test evolves.
β’ Personal Test Mastery: A personal SAT score of 1500 or higher, or a 99th-percentile equivalent on the ACT or legacy SAT, with verification available.
β’ Remote-Ready Setup: A dedicated workspace, stable internet connection, a second monitor, and a document camera or tablet for live problem-solving on screen.
β’ Location: Remote (U.S.). U.S. work authorization is required.
β’ Bonus Points
β’ Student-Athlete Experience: Previous experience tutoring student-athletes or students managing demanding training and competition schedules.
β’ Published Outcomes: Verifiable score reports, testimonials, or references from previous families.
β’ Admissions Fluency: A working knowledge of college admissions timelines and the role of standardized testing within the larger application process.
β’ Curriculum Authorship: Development and refinement of proprietary materials, drills, or methodologies over time.
β’ Flexible work environment that allows for remote instruction.
β’ Opportunity to make a significant impact on students' academic trajectories.
β’ Competitive compensation and potential for professional growth.
