SAP Technical Solutions Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as the primary technical expert on FloQast’s SAP integration strategy, adeptly navigating and clarifying the intricacies of SAP S/4HANA (Public/Private Cloud) and legacy ECC environments to potential clients.

• Act as the subject matter expert for FloQast’s integration ecosystem, which includes pre-built APIs, custom APIs and connectors (particularly those for SAP), SFTP, and SAML.

• Participate in late-stage Sales opportunities to showcase integration requirements to potential customers, respond to inquiries, and emphasize the value these integrations provide in obtaining IT approval.

• Collaborate with the Sales team to strategize the best next steps for securing technical buy-in from the prospect.

• Work alongside the Product/Engineering team to identify developments needed from an integration standpoint.

• Design and validate integration workflows that utilize FloQast’s tri-modal connectivity architecture (Direct APIs, On-Premise Connectors, and Public API endpoints) to address technical deal blockers in complex SAP environments.

• Advise prospects on enhancing their month-end close by pinpointing opportunities for SAP job orchestration and T-code execution, aiding customers in achieving standards comparable to enterprise-grade automation solutions.

• Collaborate with customer IT teams to align financial data requirements with SAP data structures, including the native ingestion of Trial Balances, GL transactions, subledgers, and custom client tables (Z-tables).

• Ensure that all customer-facing technical guides for third-party integrations are current and provide relevant materials to the sales team or prospects as necessary.

• Address questions from the sales team regarding integrations for their client use cases.

• Deliver the necessary integrations and FloQast test environments for occasional proof of concepts that are required to secure a customer.

• Craft regular expressions to parse file names and contents for data processing in integrations with ERPs (including SAP data extractions), subledgers, banks, etc., as needed for POCs.

• Perform any additional duties or tasks assigned to assist the Solutions Consulting department, the Company, and/or our clients in achieving their objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of SAP environments, particularly regarding SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), Integration Suite entitlements, and the differences between SAP Public and Private Cloud deployment models.

• At least 5 years of experience as a Solutions Engineer or in a Financial Business Systems, Technical IT Consulting, IT, or related role focused on integrations, IT infrastructure, and system interoperability.

• A thorough understanding of IT infrastructure and its associated needs and challenges to effectively position FloQast.

• Experience with ERP systems (especially SAP S/4HANA or ECC), including support for configuration, integration, or migration of ERP modules.

• Familiarity with cloud storage systems and administrative experience in a collaborative environment.

• Knowledge of Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions and administrative experience in a team setting.

• Demonstrated experience or a strong aptitude for navigating SAP data dictionaries and comprehending standard SAP table structures (e.g., ACDOCA for transactional and trial balance data) to ensure precise data ingestion.

• Experience in implementing or supporting integration projects involving SAP APIs (OData/RESTful) and secure file exchange (SFTP) within the context of financial or ERP systems.

• A collaborative team player; must thrive in a fast-paced sales environment.

• A dynamic communicator who enjoys building relationships through multiple daily video conferencing calls.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to assist customers via live meetings, Zoom, and/or email.

• Capacity to convey technical IT concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Self-motivated with a strong level of initiative and follow-through; views each situation as an opportunity to enhance the current process and strive for excellence.

• Ability to perform well under tight deadlines and adapt to rapidly changing demands.

• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
