SAP MDG Technical Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, enhance, configure, and maintain SAP Master Data Governance technical solutions within a federal SAP S/4HANA setting.

• Create custom applications, enhancements, and technical objects utilizing Object-Oriented ABAP, AMDP, CDS Views, and SAP development best practices.

• Configure and develop BRF+ applications, including decision tables, validation rules, derivation rules, and business rule services.

• Design, develop, and sustain single-step, multi-step, sequential, and parallel SAP MDG approval workflows.

• Develop and upgrade SAP MDG user interfaces using FPM, SAP Fiori, Web Dynpro, OData Services, and other relevant SAP UI technologies.

• Configure and support DRF and DIF for master-data synchronization across SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, and third-party systems.

• Create inbound and outbound interfaces using IDocs, SOA Services, Web Services, APIs, and enterprise integration technologies.

• Collaborate with functional consultants, government stakeholders, architects, and technical teams to convert requirements into scalable solutions.

• Generate technical specifications and assist with functional design documentation.

• Conduct technical unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, and defect resolution.

• Aid in data migration, conversion, and enterprise master data implementation tasks.

• Troubleshoot production issues, enhance application performance, and support ongoing system improvements.

• Engage in Agile development, sprint planning, code management, and DevOps activities.

• Occasionally travel to client sites for on-site assistance.

• Partake in quality assurance activities and safeguard sensitive information in compliance with security policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

• A minimum of 5 years of SAP development experience; 5–7 years if lacking a Bachelor’s degree.

• Proven technical development experience with SAP MDG.

• Proficient in Object-Oriented ABAP, BRF+, SAP Fiori, FPM, Web Dynpro, OData Services, CDS Views, and AMDP.

• Experience in configuring SAP MDG workflows, data models, validation rules, derivation rules, and business rule frameworks.

• Knowledge in configuring and supporting DRF, DIF, IDocs, SOA Services, Web Services, APIs, and enterprise integration technologies.

• Strong comprehension of SAP MDG architecture, Central Governance, Mass Processing, and DQM.

• Experience supporting SAP master-data domains such as Business Partner, Customer, Supplier, Material Master, or Financial Master Data.

• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, or enterprise modernization initiatives.

• Capable of gathering technical requirements, developing technical specifications, and facilitating solution delivery.

• Ability to resolve moderately complex SAP MDG technical challenges with minimal supervision.

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance.

• U.S. citizenship is required for the Secret security clearance.

• Preferred: Active Secret security clearance.

• Preferred: Experience in SAP S/4HANA, federal ERP modernization, or DoD SAP environments.

• Preferred: Familiarity with SAP Activate, Agile/Scrum, DevOps, JIRA, ATC checks, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Preferred: Certifications in SAP MDG, SAP ABAP, SAP Fiori, or SAP S/4HANA.
