SAP MDG Technical Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, enhance, and support technical solutions for SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) to advance enterprise master data governance initiatives.

• Build custom applications, enhancements, and technical objects utilizing Object-Oriented ABAP, ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP), CDS Views, and best practices in SAP development.

• Configure and develop BRF+ applications, including decision tables, validation rules, derivation rules, and business rule services.

• Design, develop, and maintain various SAP MDG approval workflows, including single-step, multi-step, sequential, and parallel processes.

• Enhance SAP MDG user interfaces using technologies such as Floorplan Manager (FPM), SAP Fiori, Web Dynpro, OData Services, and other relevant SAP UI technologies.

• Configure and provide support for the Data Replication Framework (DRF) and Data Import Framework (DIF) across SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, and third-party systems.

• Develop inbound and outbound interfaces utilizing IDocs, SOA Services, Web Services, APIs, and enterprise integration technologies.

• Collaborate with functional consultants, government stakeholders, architects, and technical teams to convert requirements into scalable solutions.

• Create technical specifications and assist with functional design documentation.

• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, and resolve defects.

• Aid in data migration, conversion, and implementation activities for enterprise master data.

• Troubleshoot production issues, enhance performance, and support system improvements.

• Engage in Agile development practices, sprint planning, code management, and DevOps methodologies.

• Travel infrequently to client sites for on-site assistance.

• Take part in quality assurance efforts and safeguard sensitive information as per security policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; a minimum of 5 years of SAP development experience, or 5-7 years without a Bachelor’s degree.

• Proven track record of SAP MDG technical development using Object-Oriented ABAP, BRF+, SAP Fiori, FPM, Web Dynpro, OData Services, CDS Views, and AMDP.

• Experience in configuring SAP MDG workflows, data models, validation rules, derivation rules, and business rule frameworks.

• Familiarity with SAP DRF, DIF, IDocs, SOA Services, Web Services, APIs, and enterprise integration technologies.

• Strong comprehension of SAP MDG architecture, Central Governance, Mass Processing, and Data Quality Management.

• Background in supporting SAP master data domains such as Business Partner, Customer, Supplier, Material Master, or Financial Master Data.

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, or enterprise modernization efforts.

• Skill in gathering technical requirements, crafting technical specifications, and facilitating solution delivery.

• Ability to independently resolve moderately complex SAP MDG technical issues.

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

• Preferred: experience with SAP Activate, Agile/Scrum methodologies, DevOps, JIRA, ATC checks, CI/CD pipelines, SAP Fiori applications, OData Services, SAP integrations, and relevant SAP certifications.
