SAP MDG Technical Consultant – Material

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, configure, and technically implement SAP MDG solutions specifically for the Material Master domain.

• Convert functional requirements into technical solutions that encompass MDG data models, workflows, validations, derivations, user interfaces, and replication.

• Develop and maintain BRF+ rules, MDG workflows, UI configurations, and DRF/replication scenarios.

• Design and implement the integration between SAP MDG Material and SAP ECC/SAP S/4HANA, including SAP MM and related systems.

• Assist with SAP MDG migration, upgrade, and transformation initiatives.

• Plan and execute data migration, mass uploads, data validation, reconciliation, and error-handling procedures.

• Facilitate integration, replication, and the distribution of downstream systems.

• Resolve technical issues across MDG, Material Master, MM, integration, and replication scenarios.

• Collaborate closely with functional consultants, SAP MM teams, architects, data migration teams, and developers.

• Aid in testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment, cutover, and go-live activities.

• Ensure that technical solutions adhere to SAP Clean Core principles.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7–10+ years of experience with SAP.

• A minimum of 3–5 years of direct SAP MDG technical experience.

• Strong technical knowledge in SAP MDG Material Master.

• Comprehensive understanding of SAP Material Master structures and SAP MM integration.

• Practical experience with MDG data models, workflows, BRF+, validations, derivations, UI configuration, and replication.

• Significant experience with DRF and data replication.

• Familiarity with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA, including SAP MDG migration, upgrade, or transformation projects.

• Experience in data migration, mass uploads, validation, reconciliation, and error-handling frameworks.

• Strong technical troubleshooting abilities and integration skills.

• Proficient in English.

• SAP Master Data Governance Certification is preferred.

• Experience with SAP MDG on S/4HANA, including co-deployed and hub deployment models is preferred.

• Experience with MDG Consolidation and Mass Processing is preferred.

• Familiarity with SAP Fiori is preferred.

• Understanding of SAP Clean Core architecture is preferred.

• Experience with global S/4HANA transformation and template rollout initiatives is preferred.

• Experience in the Pharma/Life Sciences sector is a plus.
