SAP MDG Lead – Project Management Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete SAP MDG solution across essential domains (Business Partner, Material, Supplier, Customer, Finance).

• Define and implement enterprise master data governance frameworks, encompassing ownership, stewardship, and approval processes.

• Propel the design of Golden Record and Single Source of Truth (SSOT) to eliminate fragmentation in both legacy and contemporary SAP environments.

• Lead initiatives for harmonizing Business Partners from ECC to S/4HANA.

• Supervise MDG configuration including data models, UI/FPM, workflows, BRF+ rules, validations, and derivations.

• Establish organization-wide frameworks for data quality, duplicate detection, matching, and remediation.

• Ensure the scalability and extensibility of MDG to encompass non-SAP and R&D master data domains.

• Manage integrated delivery plans that cover milestones, budgets, dependencies, and resource allocations.

• Facilitate coordination among cross-functional teams involving Business, IT, ERP, Data Governance, Security, Validation, and System Integrators.

• Lead governance of risks, issues, scope, and changes through formal steering structures.

• Provide executive-level reporting, communications for steering committees, and decision support.

• Ensure business readiness, successful adoption, and realization of benefits.

• Maintain compliance with regulatory and audit standards (GxP, CSV, SOX).

• Align delivery with the enterprise Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), validation, and quality frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).

⛳️ Requirements

• 10–14+ years of experience in SAP with substantial leadership roles in SAP MDG initiatives.

• Demonstrated success in delivering SAP MDG solutions in large-scale, complex global settings.

• In-depth expertise in master data governance, Business Partner harmonization, and data quality frameworks.

• Practical experience in supporting transformations from ECC to S/4HANA.

• Strong program management skills across various delivery methodologies.

• Experience in highly regulated sectors (e.g., Life Sciences / Pharma).

• Comprehensive understanding of SAP and non-SAP integrations as well as data migration principles.

• SAP MDG and/or S/4HANA certification is preferred.

• PMP, PRINCE2, or SAFe certification is a plus.

• Familiarity with enterprise data quality tools and dashboards is advantageous.

• Exposure to governance of R&D, reference, or non-ERP master data domains is preferred.
