SAP IS-U FI-CA Functional Consultant II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Configure, support, and enhance SAP IS-U FI-CA functionality in alignment with business requirements.

• Analyze business needs and translate them into scalable SAP FI-CA solutions.

• Evaluate downstream impacts across FI-CA, Billing, Customer Service, and associated SAP IS-U processes.

• Collect, document, and analyze functional requirements with business users and stakeholders.

• Convert business needs into functional designs and SAP configuration solutions.

• Create functional specifications for technical teams.

• Collaborate with ABAP developers and technical resources on enhancements and integrations.

• Engage in requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, training, deployment, and post-production support.

• Maintain functional documentation, process flows, configuration documentation, and user guides.

• Analyze and resolve production incidents affecting SAP IS-U FI-CA processes.

• Conduct root-cause analysis and propose sustainable solutions.

• Address service requests, defects, and minor enhancements.

• Prioritize and resolve incidents in accordance with SLAs and operational procedures.

• Participate in on-call support rotations as needed.

• Develop and execute functional test scenarios for enhancements, releases, upgrades, and deployments.

• Assist with regression and integration testing across FI-CA and related SAP IS-U processes.

• Validate configuration changes while safeguarding existing business processes.

• Support data integrity, reporting, audit, and compliance initiatives.

• Identify opportunities to enhance processes, system performance, and operational efficiency.

• Collaborate with SAP IS-U Billing, Device Management, Customer Service, SAP FI/GL, and technical development teams.

• Troubleshoot end-to-end meter-to-cash and customer-to-cash business process challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of practical SAP IS-U FI-CA functional experience.

• Hands-on experience in configuring and supporting SAP IS-U FI-CA solutions.

• In-depth functional knowledge of payments, payment reversals, dunning, collections, clearing, open-item management, write-offs, security deposits, refunds, installment plans, returns, and account determination.

• Understanding of utility meter-to-cash and customer-to-cash business processes.

• Experience supporting SAP FI-CA in a live production environment.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex FI-CA issues and conduct root-cause analysis.

• Strong comprehension of FI-CA integration with SAP IS-U Billing and SAP FI/GL.

• Experience in gathering requirements and translating business needs into functional solutions.

• Excellent skills in functional documentation and specification writing.

• Ability to evaluate functional and downstream impacts across FI-CA, Billing, Customer Service, and related SAP IS-U processes.

• Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Preferred: SAP IS-U Billing functional experience.

• Preferred: Exposure to SAP IS-U Device Management.

• Preferred: Experience with SAP S/4HANA Utilities.

• Preferred: Experience in managed services, AMS, or production-support environments.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Jira, ServiceNow, or similar ticket-management platforms.

• Preferred: Previous experience in the utilities industry.

• Preferred: SAP FI-CA or related SAP certification.
