SAP Functional Consultant – Materials Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design, configuration, implementation, testing, and ongoing support of SAP S/4HANA Materials Management solutions.

• Configure and provide support for SAP S/4HANA MM functionalities, encompassing procurement, purchasing, inventory management, material master data, valuation, and vendor management processes.

• Evaluate business requirements and convert them into functional designs, system configurations, and technical specifications.

• Facilitate end-to-end business process integration across SAP SD, FI, CO, EWM, TM, and EAM modules.

• Engage in Fit-to-Standard workshops, business process design sessions, and solution demonstrations.

• Create Functional Design Documents, configuration documentation, test scripts, user guides, and training materials.

• Conduct and support unit, system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.

• Collaborate with developers on enhancements, interfaces, reports, workflows, forms, and data conversions.

• Assist in data migration for material masters, vendor records, purchasing documents, inventory data, and pricing information.

• Aid in release planning, deployments, and post-production support.

• Resolve functional issues and provide Tier II/Tier III production support.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies.

• Support cybersecurity, audit, compliance, and Authority to Operate activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

• Over 5 years of functional consulting experience in SAP MM.

• Proven experience in implementing or supporting SAP S/4HANA environments.

• Strong knowledge of procurement, purchasing, inventory management, material master data, vendor master data, source determination, valuation, and physical inventory processes.

• Experience in developing functional specifications for custom SAP enhancements and integrations.

• Background in supporting testing, defect resolution, and production support activities.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

• Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving.

• Ability to collaborate with clients to understand their needs.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Professional demeanor.

• Preferred: Experience supporting the Department of War, defense, or other Federal ERP modernization initiatives.

• Preferred: SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP S/4HANA Materials Management certification.

• Preferred: Familiarity with SAP Activate implementation methodology.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.

• Preferred: Experience integrating SAP MM with SAP Ariba, EWM, TM, FI/CO, and SD.

• Preferred: Understanding of SAP Fiori applications.

• Preferred: Experience with SAP Solution Manager and/or SAP Cloud ALM.

• Preferred: Knowledge of transportation, logistics, supply chain modernization, and enterprise business processes.

• Preferred: Active Secret clearance.

• Preferred: Ability to work effectively in both team settings and independently.

• Preferred: Strong skills in customer and vendor relationship management.

• Preferred: Proven ability to comply with data standards and policies.

• Preferred: Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that provide value.

• Preferred: Prior experience working with a federal government agency.

• Preferred: Experience with the Department of War is a plus.
