SAP FI CO Consultant, German

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Oversee, maintain, and enhance the current SAP FI/CO landscape, primarily focusing on SAP FI.

• Assist business units with operational, system-related, and process-related inquiries.

• Evaluate business needs and convert them into effective SAP solutions.

• Ensure robust and efficient financial processes throughout the SAP ecosystem.

• Execute customizing and configuration tasks within SAP FI/CO.

• Enhance and streamline financial processes and their integration with other SAP modules and external systems.

• Review and sustain relevant interfaces and process interdependencies.

• Facilitate the implementation of new or revised business and accounting requirements.

• Investigate and resolve functional issues and errors during ongoing operations.

• Manage incidents, service requests, and change requests associated with SAP FI/CO.

• Deliver functional support for GL, AP, AR, invoice verification, payment transactions, ISO 20022 topics, financial workflows, data imports, and data corrections.

• Assist in the setup and integration of new subsidiaries and company codes.

• Enhance and improve the existing SAP ERP/ECC environment.

• Support data migration and transformation efforts, including LSMW.

• Aid in New GL and Business Partner integration topics.

• Participate in SAP S/4HANA transformation preparation activities.

• Collaborate with technical teams, developers, business stakeholders, and other SAP functional consultants.

• Establish processes, design solutions, and cultivate long-term client relationships within a newly formed initiative.

⛳️ Requirements

• Multiple years of hands-on experience as an SAP FI/CO Functional Consultant, SAP FI Consultant, or a similar SAP Application Management role.

• Strong functional expertise in SAP FI, ideally encompassing GL, AP, AR, payments, and financial accounting processes.

• Practical experience in SAP FI customizing and configuration.

• Solid understanding of end-to-end financial processes and their representation within SAP.

• Experience in Application Management / AMS environments, including incident analysis, troubleshooting, and change requests.

• Familiarity with SAP ERP / ECC environments.

• Knowledge of data migration and data import processes, preferably including LSMW.

• Good grasp of New GL and associated financial processes.

• Experience with Business Partner concepts is an asset.

• Knowledge of ISO 20022, payment processes, workflows, or invoice-related procedures is highly advantageous.

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA or involvement in an S/4HANA transformation/migration is a considerable advantage.

• Experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations, migrations, or transformation projects.

• Understanding of cross-functional processes and integrations with other SAP modules, such as SD, MM, CO, or Treasury.

• Experience working in highly regulated sectors, such as Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance.

• Proficient in German (minimum B2–C1 level).

• Ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical stakeholders and translate business needs into SAP solutions.
