SAP Business Cutover Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive business cutover process for a global SAP S/4 initiative, facilitating a seamless transition from legacy systems to new operations.

• Emphasize business readiness, operational ramp-down, and ramp-up activities across supply chain, manufacturing, distribution, commercial, and finance sectors to minimize disruption and protect customer business operations.

• Formulate and take ownership of the business cutover strategy and execution roadmap, unifying technical and business processes.

• Collaborate with business teams to create detailed ramp-down and ramp-up plans for essential business processes across all locations (e.g., production scheduling, inventory management, order fulfillment, and finance).

• Ensure adherence to governance standards, methodologies, and change control procedures.

• Coordinate readiness efforts across five key regions, including all related plants, warehouses, and distribution centers.

• Align cutover activities with seasonal demand cycles and logistical constraints.

• Engage with business leaders and operational teams to confirm readiness and identify dependencies.

• Facilitate go/no-go readiness assessments with leadership and the PMO.

• Identify and address risks pertaining to downtime, data migration, and operational continuity.

• Determine rollback scenarios and establish contingency plans.

• Drive cutover execution during trial runs, dress rehearsals, and the go-live cutover.

• Deliver real-time dashboards and executive updates regarding readiness and progress.

• Lead hypercare activities and ensure a seamless transition to operations/support teams.

• Document lessons learned for ongoing improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in SAP program delivery, with a demonstrated track record in business cutover management within consumer goods and logistics sectors.

• Proficient in ramp-down and ramp-up planning for large-scale ERP transformations (including ECC and S/4HANA).

• Strong knowledge of supply chain, manufacturing, distribution, commercial, and finance processes.

• Familiarity with various SAP modules.

• Experience with global rollouts and multi-country implementations.

• SAP or PMP certification is preferred.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence C-Level executives.

• Proven ability to lead teams in preparing large proposals and program plans, leveraging unique differentiators (e.g., specific consulting frameworks).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities to influence C-Level stakeholders within client organizations.

• Strategic thinker with a solid business focus.

• Capable of managing complex dependencies and driving decisive actions.

• Adept at balancing technical and operational priorities.

• Willing to work shifts during cutover activities.
