SAP BTP Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Act as the main point of contact for Employee Central projects from initial discovery to final deployment and ongoing support.

• Organize and oversee development resources, assign tasks, and offer guidance and mentorship.

• Take ownership of the complete application delivery process in partnership with Project Managers, QA teams, and Support Teams.

• Create and sustain project plans, timelines, and resource distributions.

• Ensure that all deliverables are completed on time and within the allocated budget.

• Conduct stakeholder workshops and interviews to gather insights into business requirements, HR processes, and reporting necessities.

• Analyze and document client requirements, translating them into system specifications and design documents.

• Provide clients with advice on best practices, change management, and system adoption strategies.

• Design solutions for Employee Central, encompassing organizational management, employee data, workflows, business rules, and security configurations.

• Manage, negotiate, and resolve project risks and complex issues to avert escalations.

• Foster a team environment characterized by openness, honesty, accountability, and collaboration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in application services and/or managing client/supplier relationships within a technology setting.

• More than 5 years of experience in building application extensions using SAP BTP.

• Experience in developing, deploying, and managing applications on SAP BTP across both Neo and Cloud Foundry environments.

• Proficient in the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) and technologies such as Node.js/Java.

• Proven experience integrating applications with both SAP and non-SAP systems.

• Skilled in developing complex database models, stored procedures, and views utilizing SAP HANA Cloud and SAP HANA 2.0 in XSC and XSA settings.

• Familiarity with advanced analytics and optimizing HANA database performance.

• Experience using HANA Data Provisioning tools, including SDI and SDA.

• Background in designing and constructing custom SuccessFactors extensions via SAP BTP and SAP Cloud SDK.

• Experience integrating SuccessFactors with external systems through OData APIs and the SuccessFactors Metadata Framework (MDF).

• Knowledge of the SuccessFactors Business Rules Engine, Workflows, and UI5/Fiori applications.

• Experience implementing security protocols such as OAuth2, SAML, JWT, among others.

• Understanding of SAP security best practices and S/4HANA extensions using SAP Fiori/UI5.

• Comprehensive understanding of the IT life cycle, including pipeline, resource, demand, project delivery, and financial processes.

• Strong business analysis skills coupled with basic data modeling knowledge.

• Demonstrated resilience, emotional intelligence, and a focus on agile delivery.

• In-depth understanding of the difference between coding and engineering.

• A degree in Computer Science and/or a business-related field, or equivalent professional experience (preferred).

• Significant experience in customer service and business management (preferred).

• Experience in the professional services industry (preferred).

• SAP HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, or SAP Certified Professional – Solution Architect – SAP BTP certification (preferred).

• Familiarity with cloud-native foundations or AI coding assistants (preferred).

• Fluency in English is required.

• Advanced proficiency in Spanish.
