SAP Basis Specialist – Contract, Freelance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Serve as the technical owner of SAP systems, ensuring adherence to SLAs related to availability, performance, and backup/restore processes.

• Oversee multi-landscape environments by executing system refreshes, SAP/Database upgrades, and support package campaigns.

• Engage with the SAP technical team, contributing to release management and providing technical support for Focused Build initiatives.

• Investigate and recommend Basis solutions, focusing on performance monitoring, tuning, and system configuration.

• Act as the primary contact for all matters related to Basis.

• Collaborate with other IT Tech Leads.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 10 years of practical experience in SAP Basis technical administration.

• Familiarity with both on-premise and cloud environments.

• Proficient in SAP system administration, encompassing configuration, installation, upgrades, certificate management, and patching.

• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture, technical requirements, and industry best practices.

• Knowledge of CHARM and Focused Build change management frameworks.

• Deep understanding of SAP security principles, including roles, profiles, and authorizations.

• Experience in performance monitoring and tuning, preferably using Cloud ALM; familiarity with Solution Manager is an advantage.

• Knowledge of SAP backup and disaster recovery techniques.

• Proficient in English.

• Proficiency in German is a plus.
