SAP ABAP Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement SAP solutions utilizing ABAP and the RESTful Application Programming (RAP) model.

• Create and manage OData services, business objects, and CDS views, adhering to Clean Core principles.

• Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to convert requirements into technical solutions.

• Develop and maintain SAP S/4HANA applications, utilizing HANA-optimized data models and performance best practices.

• Engage in code reviews and contribute to the establishment of technical standards and best practices.

• Diagnose, debug, and resolve application issues in both development and production environments.

• Assist in documenting technical designs, development artifacts, and system configurations.

• Facilitate integration efforts with external and internal systems through APIs and middleware platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive, hands-on experience with ABAP programming, including object-oriented ABAP (ABAP OO), enhancements, BAdIs, and user exits.

• Strong experience in creating managed and unmanaged RAP business objects, including CDS views, behavior definitions, and OData V4 services.

• Proven understanding and application of SAP Clean Core principles, including side-by-side extensibility and the avoidance of core modifications.

• Practical experience in development on SAP S/4HANA, along with familiarity with HANA-native development (CDS, AMDP, HANA views).

• U.S. citizenship is required due to potential access to export-controlled information or facilities subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

• Experience with Web Dynpro for ABAP for developing and maintaining user interface applications.

• Background in the aerospace and defense (A&D) industry, including knowledge of relevant business processes (e.g., MRP, project systems, plant maintenance, or defense contract management).

• Familiarity with SAP BTP and side-by-side extension development.

• Experience with SAP Fiori / UI5 development.

• Knowledge of SAP integration technologies (e.g., iDocs, BAPIs, RFC, APIs).

• SAP certification(s) in development or S/4HANA.
