This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chad.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls with professionalism, adhering to the Interpreter's code of ethics.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary used in the healthcare and medical sectors.

• Ensure all messages are conveyed accurately and in their entirety, without any additions, omissions, or substitutions.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service during interpreting sessions.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretations of messages.

• Uphold professional standards in practice.

• Participate in internal professional training.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and provide updates to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code policies for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Sango."

• Over 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Awareness of legal terminology is an advantage.

• International certifications in the healthcare field are a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
