This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho, +1 more state.
• Oversee a designated customer territory with the primary objective of enhancing overall salon sales.
• Achieve assigned sales targets by leveraging manufacturer education and sales resources.
• Expand sales by opening new accounts and promoting approved beauty products, while also introducing innovative products and concepts.
• Utilize various social media platforms as an additional resource for serving salons, barbers, spas, schools, and licensed beauty professionals.
• Identify key accounts within the territory and establish an efficient route for customer engagement.
• Demonstrate and support customers in planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating all in-salon promotions, programs, and concepts.
• Assess customers’ needs and recommend products and services accordingly.
• Communicate all sales initiatives in collaboration with vendors to achieve corporate sales objectives on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Acknowledge and respond to all email, text, and phone communications promptly (within 24 hours).
• Analyze accounts to determine necessary brand support, education, and promotions for salon growth.
• Visit customers in person to meet established sales targets.
• Adhere strictly to established procedures regarding returns processing and ensure timely completion of assignments and projects.
• Collaborate with various business functions, including customer service, accounts receivable, IT, and any other relevant areas.
• Actively seek out new customers through cold calling, social media, and other digital avenues.
• Efficiently manage all administrative responsibilities associated with the role within specified timelines.
• Attract and maintain salon clientele by leveraging social media for communication, promotion, education, and product knowledge.
• Conduct engaging in-person and virtual product knowledge sessions.
• Keep the Manager informed about calls, visits, orders, sales progress, follow-up plans, and any required support.
• High school diploma or equivalent certification is required.
• A minimum of one year of proven outside sales experience or relevant beauty industry experience, focusing on consultative selling.
• Must reside within the assigned territory.
• Strong preference for candidates with knowledge of inventory control systems and visual merchandising.
• Proficient in using Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social media platforms for business development.
• Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of salesforce.com, Outlook, PDF Expert, and Oracle; experience with iPad is a plus.
• Ability to foster an online community and build social connections using search engines and various internet tools.
• This position entails local travel within the territory and attendance at shows, conventions, and educational events, which may require overnight travel and some weekend work.
• Must maintain a state of alertness and operate safely at all times.
• Frequent and sometimes extended periods of driving are essential for this role.
• Committed to scheduled work hours with the flexibility to work additional hours as business needs change.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Capable of presenting a professional business image and engaging positively with the public.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are required at all organizational levels.
