This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop solution designs for Salesforce and, in collaboration with the team, AWS components of environments.
• Identify the type and size of sandboxes for regression and performance testing.
• Establish metadata configuration and Salesforce environment refresh methods through the VA Salesforce governance group (DTC).
• Outline onboarding sequences for product groups entering shared environments.
• Act as the technical liaison with DTC on sandbox provisioning and management.
• Assist in environment designation, naming conventions, broader Salesforce Org integration, and sandbox control model decisions.
• Validate test data strategies and limitations, including data representativeness, production data usage, and handling of PII.
• Create Salesforce integration strategies and suggest suitable patterns for each interface.
• Implement Salesforce data sharing and visibility models in environment design.
• Diagnose Salesforce performance challenges and resolve metadata conflicts.
• Provide support for Salesforce test data factories and updates to automated test cases.
• Take into account downstream and cross-product effects when designing sandbox functionalities.
• Ensure adherence to VA security standards and federal regulations, including distinctions between commercial and GovCloud/FedRAMP.
• Collaborate with federal clients, delivery teams, product management, testing, infrastructure, and technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree with 6 years of relevant experience.
• Associate's degree with 8 years of experience in place of a Bachelor's degree.
• High school diploma with 10 years of experience as a substitute for a Bachelor's degree.
• Hands-on experience in Salesforce development, including Apex and other programmatic customizations, along with declarative flows and configuration expertise.
• Proven experience in producing Salesforce solution designs, including metadata configuration and sandbox strategy.
• Experience in evaluating and recommending Salesforce integration approaches from diverse available patterns.
• Familiarity with Salesforce data sharing and visibility models.
• Experience in troubleshooting Salesforce performance challenges and resolving metadata conflicts.
• Background in building or maintaining Salesforce test data factories and updating automated test cases for environment or release modifications.
• Understanding of federal compliance considerations impacting Salesforce solutions, including distinctions between commercial and GovCloud/FedRAMP environments.
• Capability to assess a project's overall scope, including downstream and cross-product implications.
• Strong hands-on skills; capable of configuring, building, and troubleshooting directly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• High attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively across technical and operational teams.
• Capacity to shift focus between competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Availability during core business hours of 8 am–5 pm ET.
• Full-time W2 employment.
• 40 hours per week with availability during core business hours of 8 am–5 pm ET.
