This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer will facilitate the ongoing expansion of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) solution.
• This position will be accountable for, but not limited to, gathering requirements, configuring/building/customizing, and supporting the Salesforce Marketing Cloud application while directing the overall strategy of our Marketing Cloud instance.
• The focus will be on developing email communications using the Content Builders tool, along with HTML and CSS as needed, in collaboration with our CRM team.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to assess business requirements and design solutions that align with communication objectives.
• Design, construct, test, and dispatch emails within SFMC.
• Possess an understanding of nurture program functionalities, capabilities, and enhancements upon request.
• Segment and analyze SFDC and other prospect databases to target campaigns and provide recommendations for targeting.
• Implement tracking across all marketing automation initiatives.
• Report on marketing automation programs to identify opportunities for enhancement and improve metrics & KPIs.
• Conduct testing of emails, campaigns, pages, and data as required and within deadlines.
• Assist with SFMC data maintenance and system upkeep.
• Prepare and import lists into SFMC.
• Help with troubleshooting requests specific to marketing automation as they arise.
• Offer insights on best practices for customer journey and communication.
• Create and sustain marketing automation campaigns that nurture prospects through email and form template development, landing page creation, list segmentation, and scoring.
• Develop reports and dashboards to communicate the effectiveness of campaigns and marketing efforts.
• Analyze metrics and provide insightful interpretations to drive improvements and campaign performance.
• Support data integrations between Salesforce and Marketing Cloud.
• Document architectural and solution decisions.
• Assist in the rollout of monthly feature releases.
• A minimum of 3 years, preferably 5 years, of experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud/ExactTarget.
• Proven experience in creating automated or drip marketing campaigns that incorporate email marketing.
• Expertise in designing, developing, executing, and maintaining email marketing campaigns, focusing on Email Studio, Journey Builder, Data Extension, Automation Studio, Trigger Sends, Content Builder, and Contact Builder.
• Experience in developing email templates and dynamic content utilizing HTML and AMP Script.
• Skilled in creating responsive emails.
• Background in supporting end-users, gathering requirements, and documentation processes.
• Familiarity with list segmentation and managing large datasets.
• Experience in performing email QA testing to ensure proper email rendering and deliverability across various devices and applications, using tools such as Litmus and Return Path.
• Must have experience in creating User-Initiated and Triggered Automations, such as Data Extract, Filter, Import and Transfer File, Refresh Group, Query, Wait Activity, and Send Email using Automation Studio.
• Knowledge of Data Extensions and SQL Queries is a plus.
• Experience in optimizing campaigns using A/B testing and multivariate testing.
• Proficiency in developing scalable front-end user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Angular JS.
• Extensive experience working on Landing Pages and Microsites.
• Experience in email reporting and tracking, recommending improvements, enhancements, and testing strategies for future programs.
• Google Analytics experience is required.
