Salesforce Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Propel development efficiency within a team of 10 to 15 engineers focused on creating enterprise applications on the Salesforce Platform.

• Oversee the architecture, performance, and scalability of services based on the Salesforce Platform and Node.js.

• Ensure that architectural choices align with best practices in Salesforce and cloud engineering.

• Take ownership of the technical vision for Salesforce applications.

• Provide mentorship to senior engineers.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to swiftly deliver high-quality solutions.

• Lead a team of 10 to 15 developers by establishing goals, conducting one-on-one meetings, fostering career growth, recruiting engineering talent, and eliminating obstacles.

• Strike a balance between roadmap execution and engineering excellence, which includes code quality, system reliability, platform performance, security, and developer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years in software engineering, with over 3 years in leadership roles for engineering teams.

• Extensive Salesforce knowledge, including proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, Salesforce APIs, and best practices for the Salesforce platform.

• Demonstrated experience in Salesforce technical architecture, specifically in designing scalable enterprise solutions.

• Strong background in Node.js and a well-defined perspective on developing maintainable services and integrations at scale.

• Experience in integrating Salesforce with external systems utilizing modern APIs and integration methodologies.

• In-depth knowledge of software architecture, scalability, security, and performance optimization techniques.

• Proven history of enhancing engineering velocity, system performance, scalability, and deployment processes in live environments.

• Established capability to nurture engineers, recruit effectively, and lead high-performing engineering teams that consistently achieve results.

• Familiarity with Salesforce DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation of deployment processes.

• Background in AWS, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise SaaS platforms.

• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, or containerization technologies.

• Possession of Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I or II, Application Architect, or System Architect.

• Experience in scaling SaaS platforms or products aimed at developers.
