This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of and oversee IonQ's Salesforce Government Cloud organization, ensuring the environment is properly configured, distinct from commercial organizations, and consistently compliant with FedRAMP and CUI handling standards.
• Manage user access provisioning and deprovisioning, including profiles, permission sets, roles, and license assignments, in accordance with least-privilege principles and federal access governance standards.
• Develop and implement enhancements utilizing declarative tools (such as flows, validation rules, record types, page layouts, and dynamic forms) while coordinating managed-package and integration modifications within GovCloud limitations.
• Design, create, and sustain reports and dashboards that provide federal sales, operations, and compliance stakeholders with accurate and timely insights into pipeline and activities.
• Conduct regular platform maintenance, which includes data quality management, deduplication, sandbox and release management, and assessment of seasonal Salesforce updates prior to their deployment in production.
• Assist in supporting Salesforce Shield controls (including platform encryption, event monitoring, and field audit trail) and generate access reviews and evidence necessary for CMMC, NIST 800-171, and internal audits.
• Oversee the intake queue for federal Salesforce requests, effectively triaging, prioritizing, and resolving issues in line with established service levels.
• Collect requirements from federal stakeholders, convert them into configuration or solution designs, and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) before implementation.
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and configuration standards to ensure the environment remains supportable and transferable.
• Act as the subject-matter expert for federal Salesforce, providing guidance on best practices and collaborating with security, trade compliance, and IT on ITAR and CUI data-handling inquiries.
• Over 7 years of professional experience as a Salesforce administrator, or a comparable mix of education and experience.
• Bachelor's degree in information systems, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Current Salesforce Administrator certification (ADM-201) with proven proficiency in the declarative platform, including security model, permission sets, flows, report types, and page layouts.
• Practical experience administering Salesforce within a regulated or compliance-focused environment, with a solid understanding of access governance and audit support.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident) and capable of meeting the requirements for handling CUI and operating within a Salesforce Government Cloud / FedRAMP setting.
• Strong skills in data management, encompassing data quality, imports, and deduplication.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a small, fast-paced team.
