This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Accountable for aiding Comfort Medical's sales and marketing efforts by designing, developing, coordinating, and delivering onboarding and ongoing training programs for both new hires and current sales professionals.
• The training curriculum encompasses selling skills, product knowledge, DME expertise, business acumen, systems management, and more.
• Foster a collaborative and unified work atmosphere between training, sales, and marketing to cultivate successful and highly effective sales professionals.
• Identify, create, and implement training programs that align with the efforts of key stakeholders at Comfort Medical.
• Lead and execute sales training and development initiatives: Advocate for Comfort Medical's training initiatives to promote a culture of continuous learning.
• Design, develop, coordinate, and facilitate essential new hire curricula covering customer knowledge, DME industry insights, healthcare operations, selling skills, sales processes, systems management, and product knowledge to ensure comprehensive understanding for all new hires regarding key focus areas for Coloplast.
• Develop training curricula for the existing sales team to enhance and improve knowledge in product understanding, competitive selling skills, and professional growth.
• Implement best-in-class and innovative training methods that integrate in-person, virtual, group-based, and one-on-one formats to ensure a dynamic and results-oriented approach.
• Organize, plan, and schedule training events and classes.
• Design, develop, and record training assessments and evaluations; coach and guide trainees based on results while effectively conveying strengths and areas for improvement to senior leadership.
• Facilitate collaboration and lead the execution of Sales Training courses with participation from Field Sales Trainers, Regional and National Sales Directors, Consumer Sales Leaders, and Marketing.
• Co-travel with new and experienced representatives to observe customer interactions, provide coaching, and reinforce fundamental selling behaviors and product messaging.
• Continuously enhance learning approaches, modalities, and processes (virtual/in-person, eLearning, reinforcement) to improve efficiency and learner engagement.
• Collaborate with Sales Leadership to understand field needs and priorities.
• Periodically lead initiatives to evaluate the competencies of our sales teams to identify gaps and opportunities, thereby enhancing skills and capabilities across the sales teams.
• A bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• At least 3 years of proven experience in learning and development and/or training within the healthcare/medical device sector.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in creating and executing training programs and/or experience as a designated/compensated field sales trainer or in a similar position.
• Willingness and capacity to travel (25-40%), with occasional global travel.
• Experience in the DME industry, including DME processes and workflows.
• Proven ability to complete the entire training cycle (assessing needs, designing, developing, delivering, monitoring, and evaluating training programs) across various instructor-led, virtual, or online learning scenarios.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and eLearning development.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities with the skill to effectively engage with multiple levels across the organization.
• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
• Profound understanding and application of adult learning theories and instructional design methodologies.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking skills with the ability to execute plans at a tactical level.
• Capability to identify and analyze organizational and sales training requirements.
• Ability to exhibit leadership presence and earn the trust of business partners.
• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning authoring tools.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities.
• Proficiency in Office productivity software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and learning tools.
