Director, Skills Intelligence & Learning Experiences

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance Degreed's educational experiences, ranging from self-directed pathways to organized, cohort-based programs.

• Oversee Degreed Academies, empowering enterprise clients to implement certifications, onboarding processes, and other organized learning initiatives.

• Determine how skill data drives tailored learning suggestions, including the content recommended to learners next.

• Lead the AI feature that recognizes a learner's skill deficiencies and generates resources to address them.

• Craft the entire learner experience: how an individual identifies a skill gap, interacts with content, and proves they have bridged it.

• Manage the comprehensive data structure behind Degreed's skills product: how skills are defined, categorized, and maintained accurately as the system evolves.

• Operate the platform that enterprise clients utilize to customize Degreed's skill list to fit their internal terminology, blending AI recommendations with human assessment.

• Develop the proficiency rating scale used to evaluate skill levels, including the criteria that distinguish one level from another.

• Ensure compatibility of Degreed's skill data with external frameworks and enterprise HR systems.

• Establish the process by which every AI interaction within the product enhances the foundational skill data over time, and quantify that enhancement with tangible metrics.

• Advance the skills model by making intentional compromises between consistency, customer adaptability, and the long-term viability of the product.

• Experience level: Expert (8+ years), with direct responsibility for launched learning products.

• Leadership in learning product development.

• Proficiency in enterprise learning.

• Expertise in assessment design.

• In-depth knowledge of taxonomy design.

• Data-centric product mindset.

• Long-term system-oriented thinking.

• Familiarity with machine learning concepts.

• Ability to make judgments regarding trust and fairness.

• Experience with AI-assisted processes.
