This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Collaborate with Sales Representatives on opportunities for acquiring new business and retaining/growing existing business for the O500 Buyer Group.
• Develop plan design solutions, interpret benefits, recognize non-standard Cigna benefit administration requirements, suggest alternatives, and ensure compliance with legislation.
• Evaluate data to assess the viability of prospects.
• Engage with brokers to gather essential data and negotiate timelines.
• Formulate funding and benefit solutions tailored to client requirements, industry standards, benefits, and product expertise.
• Ascertain benefit intent and work with underwriting to create quotes.
• Create and update opportunities in SFDC, encompassing benefit sculpting, legislation/compliance, and performance guarantees.
• Assist in financial development, including translation factors, plan design, network solutions, financial risks, and caveats.
• Initiate activities in SFDC and take part in Strategy/LCR calls.
• Collaborate with Sales, Proposal Unit, and enterprise partners to ensure proposals are accurate, comprehensive, and of high quality.
• Coordinate with business units to extend additional lines of coverage.
• Oversee the RFP process as the primary contact for involved business units.
• Review and organize deliverables such as financials, questionnaires, plan designs, guarantees, repricings, disruptions, geographies, and exhibits.
• Stay updated on product initiatives and the effects of healthcare industry changes stemming from PPACA modifications.
• Serve as a subject matter expert to identify gaps and integrate changes into the Presale process.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior professionals.
• BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of Presale experience is preferred.
• Experience in Insurance, Healthcare, Employee Benefits, Sales, Finance, Underwriting & Risk, Account Management, Project Management, or Consulting Services.
• Advanced understanding of healthcare product lines, major funding vehicles, and benefits administration.
• Proven ability to build relationships and influence business partners.
• Excellent project management and written/verbal communication skills.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks while adapting to frequently shifting priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to deliver results with a sense of urgency and precision.
• Creative mindset with the ability to turn ideas into actionable steps.
• Access to cable broadband or fiber optic internet service with a minimum of 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload speed for remote work.
