This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Make a large volume of outbound cold calls to potential and former applicants each day.
• Engage with business owners, franchise owners, and decision-makers about their funding requirements, business objectives, and potential interest in financial services.
• Initially assist the small business lending initiative by identifying companies seeking working capital, business financing, or funding solutions.
• Qualify leads by collecting information regarding revenue, business operations, and financing needs.
• Conduct discovery discussions and pinpoint potential opportunities for funding solutions.
• Schedule qualified appointments for funding advisors and sales representatives.
• Ask basic qualifying and close-ended questions to assess whether the prospect is serious and ready for a follow-up discussion.
• Maintain strong follow-up with leads through phone calls, text messages, and email communication.
• Confirm appointments and ensure prospects are prepared for scheduled discussions.
• Quickly build rapport and maintain professional communication with business owners.
• Confidently handle objections and keep conversations productive and focused on goals.
• Update CRM systems with accurate notes, lead details, and outcomes of calls.
• Manage lead pipelines to ensure no opportunities are overlooked.
• Respond promptly to warm leads and inbound inquiries when possible.
• Follow scripts and processes while naturally adapting during conversations.
• Collaborate with internal sales teams regarding lead quality and appointment flow.
• Achieve daily and weekly outreach and appointment-setting targets.
• Potentially assist with employer benefits / PEO-related outreach in the future, which may involve communicating with higher-level B2B contacts such as C-suite executives, HR decision-makers, and business owners.
• Up to 2 years of experience in outbound calling, sales, appointment setting, collections, or lead generation.
• B2B sales or B2B appointment-setting experience is highly preferred.
• Experience interacting with business owners, executives, or decision-makers is preferred.
• Strong phone communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls daily.
• Ability to quickly build rapport and maintain engaging conversations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using CRM systems and managing lead pipelines.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, 8x8, or similar CRM/dialer platforms is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to multitask and ensure consistent follow-up across multiple leads.
• Strong spoken English and a professional phone presence.
• Self-motivated, persistent, and goal-oriented.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced sales environment.
• Basic understanding of business funding, banking, underwriting, or lending is a plus but not mandatory.
• Experience in employer benefits, insurance, or PEO is not required, but B2B exposure would be beneficial for future campaign expansion.
• Must be coachable and willing to learn financial services concepts, scripts, compliance-sensitive language, and campaign-specific qualifying questions.
