Sales Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with store proprietors, executives, and managers to enhance same-store sales.

• Provide education to retailers regarding AWG programs and their application.

• Execute departmental initiatives aimed at helping the Fresh Sales department meet its sales targets.

• Support in developing new store layouts, resets, and special promotional events.

• Establish and nurture working relationships with store owners, directors, and personnel through regular visits to effectively function as a business partner.

• Coordinate with the procurement department and stores to roll out special sales events.

• Aid stores in executing events to boost same-store sales.

• Assist the Fresh Sales Manager in formulating departmental initiatives and a sales strategy to reach budgeted sales objectives.

• Help stores with resets, remodels, tagging, and writing advertisements to ensure effective merchandising and market presence.

• Collaborate with customers encountering challenges with department sales and/or profits to devise improvement plans and assist in training new staff.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent qualifications.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in retail Produce, Meat, Deli, or Bakery.

• Comprehensive understanding of the retail sector.

• Strong expertise in Meat/Seafood; experience in Produce and/or Deli is a plus.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
