This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Drive sales growth by prospecting and establishing relationships with new accounts.
• Enhance and nurture existing customer relationships through exceptional service and promoting incremental account development.
• Accountable for achieving or surpassing sales and margin Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Exemplify exceptional customer service to foster relationships, guarantee customer satisfaction, and actively develop new customer connections to unlock future sales growth opportunities.
• Advocate for new products and boost sales of Bunzl's internal house brands and preferred brands when applicable.
• Develop and execute pricing strategies across all accounts.
• Conduct weekly planning and scheduling of customer visits, ensuring a clear understanding of objectives for each meeting.
• Provide monthly summaries of targeted sales priorities to sales leadership.
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of Bunzl products, showcasing features and benefits through product samples and/or catalog specifications.
• Identify and establish new accounts.
• Deliver timely and precise sales forecasts to the operations and leadership teams to maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Review pricing quarterly to safeguard and enhance margins.
• Participate in Industry Association events, including trade shows and other functions.
• Collaborate with external vendors on new materials and innovative packaging solutions related to packaging.
• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
• A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of inside/outside sales experience.
• Preferred practical sales experience in at least one of the following sectors: food/meat processing, industrial processing, plant operating supplies, personal protection equipment, or related safety products.
• Proven ability to effectively plan daily and weekly sales and operational activities throughout your designated geography.
• Proficient in the Windows operating environment and skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, TEAMS, Power BI, CoPilot).
• Familiarity with MS Dynamics or another CRM system.
• Ability to work efficiently in dynamic situations that require adaptability and manage competing demands.
• Capable of handling all confidential and time-sensitive information with discretion.
• Strong results-oriented mindset and a sense of urgency.
• High level of personal accountability.
• Ability to identify and prioritize key initiatives.
• Daily and weekly travel within the specified geography is required, including overnight stays as necessary.
• Must possess and maintain a valid US driver’s license.
