This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Meet or surpass annual sales objectives and growth goals within the designated territory.
• Formulate and implement a territory business strategy that emphasizes account retention, penetration, and the acquisition of new customers.
• Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with researchers, lab managers, procurement professionals, and other influential decision-makers.
• Conduct regular in-person and virtual customer engagements to gain insights into workflows, pinpoint needs, and propose suitable products and solutions.
• Oversee the entire sales process from prospecting and qualification to quoting, negotiation, and closing.
• Collaborate with supplier representatives and internal experts to provide joint sales calls, product demonstrations, and technical assistance.
• Keep precise and timely records of customer interactions, opportunities, and forecasts in Salesforce.
• Track market trends, competitive activities, and customer feedback; relay insights to sales leadership and category management.
• Work in conjunction with customer experience, pricing, and operations teams to guarantee a seamless customer journey and prompt issue resolution.
• Represent Thomas Scientific at trade shows, vendor days, and customer events as required.
• Bachelor's degree in a life science field (biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or a related area) or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in laboratory products, life science distribution, or scientific/medical sales; laboratory bench experience is advantageous.
• Proven history of achieving or surpassing sales targets.
• Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and territory management capabilities.
• Familiarity with laboratory settings, research workflows, and common lab products and equipment.
• Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office.
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Self-driven, organized, and capable of working independently in a field-based environment.
• Valid driver's license and readiness to travel within the assigned territory (overnight travel as necessary).
