This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Develops new sales opportunities: Generates leads, recruits new surgeons, qualifies prospects, and conducts sales calls.
• Expands existing Kyphon business and identifies new growth opportunities.
• Operates independently, leveraging corporate resources to drive revenue and achieve or exceed sales quotas.
• Executes approved marketing strategies effectively.
• Proactively identifies new customers and formulates plans for outreach as directed by the District Sales Manager.
• Addresses customer complaints following Medtronic Spinal & Biologics policies and promptly informs the District Sales Manager of any situations that exceed authority.
• Remains vigilant of competitors' products and merchandising practices, keeping the District Sales Manager and Medtronic Spinal & Biologics updated on such matters.
• Maintains accurate customer records and documentation as per the District Sales Manager's guidelines.
• Prepares and submits call reports as required by the District Sales Manager.
• Participates in sales meetings, training sessions, conventions, and trade shows as directed.
• Assists in training new sales personnel in the field as requested by the District Sales Manager.
• Collaborates with all personnel for the successful execution of company programs.
• Develops and implements an annual business plan with quarterly updates.
• Provides tailored service to customers based on their specific needs.
• Responds promptly to all reporting requirements and requests.
• Complies with company policies and conducts all business ethically.
• Manages business operations within assigned budgets while considering Medtronic Spinal and Biologics profitability.
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 8+ years of relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical devices, Medtech, healthcare, or life sciences; or
• Associate's Degree with 6+ years of relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical devices, Medtech, healthcare, or life sciences; or
• Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical devices, Medtech, healthcare, or life sciences.
• Experience in Orthopedics, spine, or operating room settings.
• Ability to sell in an environment where collaboration with surgeons is essential, and capability to promote new devices or procedures.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in selling value-added programs.
• Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and the ability to effectively communicate this information post-sales training.
• Thrives in a dynamic environment characterized by variety and rapid growth.
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
• Comfortable working independently with a high level of accountability.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy. Your driving record will be reviewed and considered in your application. Must be able to drive approximately 50% of the time within the designated territory, which may include overnight travel.
