This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Represent and promote building products such as PVC molding, trim, decking, porch, dock, and prefinished polystyrene moldings.
• Oversee selected key accounts, focusing on account upkeep, generating new clients, strategic planning, and marketing initiatives.
• Recognize potential customers through industry networking, various organizations, clubs, trade shows, and conferences.
• Reach out to customers and prospects to showcase products, explain features, and secure orders.
• Spot opportunities driven by industry trends and customer requirements.
• Develop sales and product strategies tailored to customer demands and product capabilities.
• Organize and participate in co-op buying shows; ship samples and display materials.
• Create product assortments for special promotions at shows.
• Assist with high-level internal and external presentations and proposals.
• Deliver monthly reports on sales targets and customer activities.
• Provide post-sale support to clients or after contract signing to address issues.
• Calculate and oversee rebate and co-op marketing programs.
• Keep track of market trends, product innovations, competitors’ offerings, pricing, and sales performance.
• Build strategic relationships with both internal and external customers.
• Supply sales forecasts and contribute to production planning.
• Manage the customer web portal as required.
• Review and refresh marketing materials.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales is preferred.
• Experience in selling building products or materials, such as PVC molding, trim, or polystyrene molding, is desirable.
• Familiarity with sales and marketing principles, methods, strategies, tactics, product demonstrations, sales techniques, and control systems.
• Strong negotiation capabilities and forecasting skills are essential.
• Understanding of customer service principles and processes.
• Knowledge of business and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and resource coordination.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, internet usage, email, and mobile devices.
• Awareness of administrative and clerical procedures, including file and record management, form design, and office processes.
• Consistent and reliable attendance is crucial.
• Willingness to adjust to non-standard working hours as required.
• Ability to manage job-related stress and promote productive workplace interactions.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Capacity to concentrate, memorize information, communicate verbally, comprehend written material, multitask, and maintain attention to detail.
• Option for remote work.
• Approximately two travel trips each month.
