This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +2 more states.
• Accountable for professionally and effectively representing International Paper’s Packaging Solutions North America (PSNA) division within the packaging market. This involves successfully managing a sales territory by building and nurturing strong customer relationships.
• Sales Representatives are tasked with generating profitable sales, primarily through regular and customary face-to-face interactions with both prospective and existing clients.
• Assesses and analyzes a customer's packaging requirements and subsequently presents recommendations to meet those needs while aiming to align with directives set forth by regional and plant management.
• Profitably expand the business with key strategic accounts (ranging from high transactional to consultative engagements) by formulating and executing effective Key Account Plans.
• Facilitate profitable decision-making by demonstrating knowledge of general business principles, internal financial management, and industry practices.
• Identify and implement Value Propositions with priority customers by leveraging knowledge and application of IP corporate/business capabilities and resources.
• Create a competitive advantage for IP through ongoing assessment of market conditions, competitive landscape, and avenues for innovation.
• Must be willing to travel to various customer sites and meetings weekly, working in diverse environments such as client locations and trade events (50% of the time or more).
• May serve as the account team leader.
• BA/BS in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience in a related area.
• 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, or packaging sectors.
• Proven track record in prospecting, developing, and closing new business opportunities.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the designated territory.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
• Familiarity with the corrugated box industry is a plus.
