This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Identify and cultivate new business prospects throughout Northern California.
• Target pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academic, CRO, and scientific research clientele.
• Conduct research on potential accounts, generate qualified leads, and sustain an active sales pipeline.
• Oversee the sales process from initial outreach through quoting, negotiation, closing, and order fulfillment.
• Prepare pricing, quotations, proposals, and product information tailored to customer specifications.
• Foster long-term relationships with existing customers while exploring opportunities for business expansion.
• Engage in discussions regarding chemical products, research needs, and technical applications with scientists and purchasing teams.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Marketing, R&D, and internal technical teams to address customer requirements.
• Attend customer meetings, scientific conferences, trade shows, and industry events.
• Maintain precise records of accounts, opportunities, and activities within the CRM system.
• Monitor market activity, customer needs, competitive trends, and emerging opportunities.
• Consistently strive to meet individual revenue goals and contribute to broader team sales targets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Organic Chemistry, Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or a related scientific field is strongly preferred.
• Preferred experience in sales, business development, account management, or customer-facing commercial roles.
• Highly desirable experience in selling products or services within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life-science, laboratory, or chemical sectors.
• A strong understanding of organic chemistry is highly advantageous.
• Ability to clearly communicate scientific and technical information to researchers and business stakeholders.
• Excellent skills in prospecting, relationship-building, negotiation, and follow-up.
• Capability to independently manage a sales territory in Northern California.
• Strong organizational skills and proficiency with CRM systems.
• Must currently reside in Northern California.
