This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Develop and execute a sales support strategy for a specific region in line with the global support framework.
• Provide technical and commercial assistance to both internal and external clients.
• Manage estimations, bids, and proposals to ensure they meet ABB's standards and objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and nurture the Sales Support team.
• Establish key objectives and guarantee their attainment by monitoring progress and determining improvement initiatives for customer support and satisfaction.
• Deliver the most competitive proposals by considering market conditions and customer circumstances; identify the most effective methods (e.g., direct sales, consortium, or channel) for optimal customer service.
• Supervise the validation of terms and conditions (commercial, technical, legal, and pricing) in each proposal; assist in bid/no bid assessments and decisions.
• Engage in project risk review sessions; ensure necessary technical support and clarifications are provided to Sales teams during technical discussions, product demonstrations, and negotiations with clients.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Over 7 years of experience in sales operations, forecasting, demand planning, sales enablement, or strategic account management, preferably in industrial, electrical, engineering, or mission-critical infrastructure sectors.
• Proficient in BI tools (Power BI, Snowflake), Excel, SAP, and Salesforce CRM.
• Experience collaborating with Supply Chain, Operations, and Engineering in a manufacturing or engineered-to-order setting.
• Strong analytical capabilities with experience in forecasting and reporting; knowledge of Excel Power Pivot and Power Query is preferred.
• Ability to transform complex technical and operational information into clear, actionable insights.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience in global or matrix organizations.
• Strong project management expertise with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Experience supporting mission-critical clients (data centers, hospitals, utilities, industrial facilities).
• Familiarity with various customer go-to-market strategies, including iRep, Distributor, Value Added Reseller, integrators, and direct/end-user.
• Solid understanding of UPS systems, switchgear, PDUs, and power distribution equipment.
• Knowledge of long-lead-time electrical components and supply chain challenges.
• Process-oriented mindset with a keen attention to detail, organization, and continuous improvement.
• Capacity to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
