This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +24 more states.
• Lead a team of Account Managers focused on APS products within the industrial sector.
• Create and implement the APS commercial growth strategy for the industrial segment.
• Facilitate broader APS business strategies through collaborative efforts in pricing, forecasting, S&OP, credit management, marketing strategy, new business development, technical service, product development, customer service, and global account planning.
• Act as the voice of the customer for the industrial segment.
• Promote and ensure adherence to the highest safety policies and standards.
• Establish goals and objectives for the Industrial Sales Team across the region and segment.
• Recruit, develop, and inspire Sales and Account Managers.
• Drive sales performance, pipeline management, pricing, contribution margin, volume, quality, and service objectives.
• Cultivate and maintain senior-manager relationships at key accounts.
• Mentor Account Managers and offer career development support.
• Supervise precise forecasting for the industrial team and collaborate on planning risks and modifications.
• Manage working capital parameters, including consignment stocks, payment terms, overdue accounts, discounts, rebates, and customer-specific products and services.
• Execute pricing policies and develop pricing tools to enhance margin returns.
• Collaborate with Finance, Credit, Quality, Customer Service, Legal, and HR departments.
• Develop and implement Commercial Excellence plans and initiatives.
• Ensure the implementation and adoption of Contract Management policies.
• Assist Customer Service in achieving customer service levels and service-level agreements.
• Formulate and execute the Sales Plan and annual budget.
• Support marketing and innovation plans aimed at strategic focus and new product development.
• Champion operational and commercial excellence in S&OP, pricing management, contract management, and SOX compliance.
• Report regional KPIs and strategies for improvement.
• A university or college degree in Business Administration, Sciences, or Engineering.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in Sales, Business Management, Marketing, or related fields.
• Experience in the plastics, chemical sector, or related end markets is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.
• Proficient in basic IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Microsoft Teams, SAP, and Salesforce.
• Strong leadership skills in managing people.
• Commercially astute and proactive.
• Ability to think critically and develop transformational growth strategies.
• Collaborative and cross-functional approach to execution.
• Capable of navigating and executing complex processes within a matrixed organization.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
