This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Drive growth in the Convenience & Small Format Channel.
• Implement the U.S. Convenience channel strategy to enhance profitable sales across national retailers and distributor partners.
• Discover growth opportunities through distribution expansion, void closure, assortment optimization, and market analysis.
• Create customer-specific promotional plans and commercialization strategies, and assist with innovation launches to secure distribution.
• Collaborate across functions with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Category Management to achieve channel objectives.
• Represent 1440 Foods at industry trade events, distributor shows, and customer gatherings (e.g., NACS).
• Manage relationships with national convenience retailers and distributor headquarters as the primary vendor contact.
• Lead joint business planning, assortment and planogram evaluations, promotional planning, and pricing discussions with broker coordination to ensure execution excellence.
• Oversee sales forecasting, customer communications, new item setup, issue resolution, and daily account management.
• Work with distributor partners and direct the broker network to enhance execution, distribution, in-stock availability, and promotional performance.
• Manage and optimize trade spending in alignment with the budget, including post-promotion reconciliation and quarterly promotion ROI analysis.
• Monitor business performance, promotional effectiveness, and key sales metrics — utilizing syndicated data, sales and order trends, and distributor inventory — to identify opportunities and risks.
• Enhance forecasting accuracy and reporting through data analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
• Develop and uphold standardized SOPs, reporting tools, and sales tracking processes that improve efficiency, visibility, and execution across the channel.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in CPG sales, customer development, or key account management.
• Familiarity with the convenience landscape, including wholesale distributors, retailers, and the broker network.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the capability to create persuasive sell-in materials and collaborate across functions.
• Results-oriented, organized self-starter with a proven record of exceeding sales targets in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting.
• Strong analytical abilities with experience in syndicated data (Circana) and Power BI or similar tools; experience managing trade spend and promotion ROI.
