• Collaborate with the VP, colleagues, brokers, and distribution network to formulate, implement, and advance our sales strategy focused on the U.S. grocery store sector - both National and Regional Retail Accounts.
• Lead and inspire the broker network by engaging with all tiers of broker personnel.
• Meet budgeted revenue targets and team sales objectives while optimizing profitability.
• Contribute to the creation of the annual departmental operating budget, marketing plan, and business plan.
• Oversee daily sales functions, including acquiring new accounts, nurturing existing relationships, and executing sales strategies set forth by the VP of Sales and Marketing.
• Establish and implement distribution goals and promotional plans that align with company standards, managing customer sales forecasts, distribution objectives, profitability, and trade spending targets.
• Cultivate strong and trustworthy relationships with current customers and channels through meetings, site visits, and other engagements to achieve the sales targets established by the Company.
• Support the VP of Sales and Marketing in generating monthly reports and sales forecasts to assess current and potential market dynamics and sales trends.
• Coordinate initiatives to boost revenue and market share, tracking performance to ensure actual sales align with or surpass set revenue plans.
• Promote interdepartmental collaboration with R&D, Production, Quality, and other pertinent departments to foster product development and enhance product quality based on customer and consumer insights.
• Inform the R&D team about various food trends to create new SKUs and refine existing recipes.
• Actively participate as a key member in weekly/monthly sensory tastings to provide immediate feedback on product quality.
• Engage in nationwide food shows to pursue business opportunities with potential clients.
• Collaborate closely with the CEO to introduce new sales initiatives.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience with a proven leadership track record in a sales organization or business unit within the food industry.
• Experience in managing food brokers is essential.
• Familiarity with sales cycles based on customer types, such as retailers, wholesalers, and food services.
• Previous experience in the mainstream market is preferred.
• Exceptional presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned sales territory, both domestically and internationally, as necessary.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
• Proficient in Google Apps, MS Office Suite, and similar applications.
