This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Formulate and implement strategies to meet the sales objectives for the designated territory.
• Provide detailed reporting on leads, issued quotes, closed deals, and opportunity pipelines.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of the medical device and pharmaceutical packaging sectors, including key players and products. Leverage this market intelligence to identify new potential clients for consumable medical and healthcare products and packaging, while also fostering growth among existing clientele.
• Experience in supporting global clients with multiple locations.
• Grasp and apply “value selling” techniques to enhance pricing strategies and offer solutions to customers; this includes cultivating and maintaining high-level relationships to establish yourself as a trusted advisor.
• Employ the Stage Gate process to effectively manage and execute the sales pipeline.
• Collaborate with the inside sales/customer care team to address customer requirements. Engage with cross-functional teams (Operations, Quality, Legal, Finance, Planning/Logistics, etc.) to quote and finalize new business opportunities.
• Prepare and deliver customer and corporate presentations to create enthusiastic clients for new initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Program Management team to bring new business opportunities to market.
• Engage in contract negotiations to ensure terms are clearly defined and the company’s investments are safeguarded.
• Recognize the company’s strengths and strategically leverage them into value propositions that align with customer needs.
• A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a science-related field.
• Five to seven years of professional B2B sales or business development experience in the medical sector for a manufacturing company.
• Comprehensive understanding of applications and requirements in the medical and healthcare market; established relationships with major clients in these sectors are crucial for success in this role.
• Functional knowledge of medical regulatory agency standards (QSR and ISO 13485) and quality systems pertaining to medical devices and pharmaceutical products.
• Self-driven with strong planning, organizational, and communication abilities to effectively drive key actions remotely.
• Proven interpersonal skills necessary for effective interaction with colleagues at various organizational levels as a collaborative team member.
• Strong proficiency in utilizing modern computer technology for communication, planning, analysis, reporting, and management tasks.
• Demonstrated capability to read, write, understand, and follow written, verbal, and nonverbal communications across all organizational levels, particularly with customers.
