This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Formulate and implement a strategy to meet the sales objectives for the designated territory.
• Generate reports on leads, issued quotes, closed sales, and the opportunity pipeline.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of the medical device and pharmaceutical packaging sectors, including relevant companies and products. Utilize this market insight to identify potential new clients for consumable medical and healthcare products and packaging, while also managing existing accounts to enhance their business.
• Experience in supporting global clients with multiple operational sites.
• Comprehend and apply "value selling" techniques to optimize pricing and deliver tailored solutions to our customers; this includes fostering and maintaining high-level relationships with clients to position yourself as a trusted advisor.
• Employ the Stage Gate process to oversee and implement the sales pipeline effectively.
• Collaborate with the inside sales/customer care team to address customer needs. Interact with cross-functional teams (Operations, Quality, Legal, Finance, Planning/Logistics, etc.) to facilitate quoting and secure new business.
• Prepare and deliver customer and corporate presentations, aiming to create enthusiastic customers for new initiatives.
• Partner with the Program Management team to bring new business opportunities to fruition.
• Engage in contract negotiations to ensure clear terms are established and company investments are safeguarded.
• Recognize the company’s strengths and actively integrate them into value propositions that align with customer needs.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a science-related field.
• Five to seven years of professional B2B sales/business development experience in the medical sector for a manufacturing company.
• Deep understanding of applications and requirements in the medical and healthcare market; established relationships with major clients in these sectors are critical for success in this position.
• Functional knowledge of medical regulatory agency standards (QSR and ISO 13485) and quality systems as they pertain to medical devices and pharmaceuticals.
• Self-driven with strong organizational, planning, and communication skills to effectively execute key actions remotely.
• Proven interpersonal skills necessary for interaction with colleagues at various organizational levels as a team member.
• Proficient in leveraging current computer technology for communication, planning, analysis, reporting, and management tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow both written and verbal communication across all organizational levels, particularly with customers.
